Storm Passes Over Triangle; Clouds Linger
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : I get a lot of migraines and am trying to determine if they are related to barometric pressure. When can i find readings for maybe the past week or two of the pressures?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : I wish I could send you the airnow.gov map forecast of the moment (12 noon). WHAT IS THE REASON RALEIGH AIR IS THE WORST IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : At the beginning of the 11:00 report on Friday night, Greg was showing a time lapse of the storm moving over Moore County - getting ready to hang into Wake county. For a couple of frames in that loop, I saw something that clearly (to me) looked to be a hook echo. Greg then clicked the magic button and showed the precipitation in the storm, and even the rain appeared to be wrapping around the back of the hook. It appeared to me on the map that it was over Broadway. What defines a hook echo on Radar? Do we not look for hooks any more with the advent of Super Dooper, Dual, High Def, Deep Scanning Doppler Radar?
WRAL WeatherCenter Blog : Hi! I see that in the drought coverage, you show what rain we've had as compared to what we normally have had since Jan. 2007. What does the comparison look like if we compare for the last 3, or 5 years - or maybe even for the last decade?
