Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has solidified her lead in North Carolina over Republican Donald Trump -- leading 50% to 48% among likely voters and 52%-44% among registered voters, according to a statewide survey by CNN release Monday. That's a jump for Clinton since August when she led Trump 48%-47% among likely voters and 48%-46% among registered voters.

In a reflection of the closeness of the North Carolina race for the U.S. Senate, Democrat Deborah Ross leads Republican incumbent Richard Burr 49%-46% among registered voters, while Burr leads Ross 48%-47% among likely voters.
