Wrong-way driver causes Raleigh crash
A wrong-way driver hit a van carrying children on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh Wednesday evening, police said.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A wrong-way driver hit a van carrying children on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh Wednesday evening, police said.
No one was seriously injured. Charges are expected, but have not yet been filed.
Police say the wrong-way driver hit the van, causing it to go off the road and down an embankment.
There was speculation that the wrong-way driver fled the scene, but police later realized the driver went down the embankment to help the children.
