<b>WAKE FOREST, N.C.</b> — Authorities shut down northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1 near Burlington Mills Road in Wake Forest for about two hours Wednesday afternoon due to a wreck involving a tractor-trailer and a car.

The wreck happened at about 12:15 p.m. when a vehicle traveling north on Capital Boulevard hit the back of the tractor-trailer.

The driver of the car involved was taken to WakeMed, but authorities did not release the person's name or condition.
