WRAL Documentary Unit Receives Environmental Honor
The WRAL-TV Documentary Unit received a special honor for bringing environmental issues into the spotlight.
Posted — UpdatedThe Documentary Unit received the Environmental Stewardship Award for its Focal Point documentaries that help raise public awareness about natural resources stewardship concerns in the region.
The award is sponsored by the Wake Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors.
In addition, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner awarded the Dan Wilkinson WRAL Conservation Communication Award to the Neuse River Foundation. The award is named for the late WRAL reporter who reported on agricultural issues for Capitol Broadcasting, both on the radio and TV, for 20 years.
