Woodlake woman killed in single-vehicle crash
A Woodlake woman died Thursday in a single-vehicle accident on N.C. Highway 690 near White Rock Road in Vass around 3:45 p.m.

Authorities said Karen Tate, 56, overturned her vehicle after running off the road, according to the Aberdeen Times.
Highway 690 was closed to traffic in both directions for an extended period of time on Thursday.
Cypress Point Fire and Rescue, Southern Pines Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Vass Police and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol all responded to the accident.
Officials said the cause of the accident remains under investigation. No further information has been released.
