Woman shot in leg in Raleigh
A woman walking to a convenience store in Raleigh Sunday evening was shot in the leg by two men, police said.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A woman walking to a convenience store in Raleigh Sunday evening was shot in the leg by two men, police said.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the woman, whose name was not released, was approached by the men as she walked on Montague Lane toward the intersection of Haywood and Lenoir streets around 9 p.m. When she refused to stop and talk to the men, they shot her in the lower leg, police said.
The men fled and are not in custody.
The victim was taken to WakeMed.
