Fayetteville police were investigating Saturday morning after an 18-year-old woman was shot at a hotel on Bragg Boulevard.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police were investigating Saturday morning after an 18-year-old woman was shot at a hotel on Bragg Boulevard.

Police Department spokesman Todd Joyce said Jaimila Smaw was shot by an unidentified man at about 2 a.m. at Knights Inn Hotel, at 2848 Bragg Boulevard, after she responded to a knock at her door.

Smaw was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she was in fair condition Saturday afternoon.

Authorities released a photo of a vehicle that may belong to the suspect in the shooting. The car is two-toned with a grey or white top and dark blue or black bottom.
