Woman says she was raped while jogging in Fayetteville

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office on Friday said it was an investigating a rape that allegedly took place along Carvers Fall Road, off Ramsey Street, at approximately 9 p.m. March 31.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office on Friday said it was an investigating a rape that allegedly took place along Carvers Fall Road, off Ramsey Street, at approximately 9 p.m. March 31. 

A woman says she was jogging along a wooded area off Carvers Fall Road when she was attacked and raped. 

According to Cumberland County officials, the case was initially reported to military authorities, but based on that investigation, it was forwarded to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
