Woman killed in Fayetteville wreck
A woman died Friday morning in a two-car crash on Morganton Road and Brocton Drive in Fayetteville, police said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A woman died Friday morning in a two-car crash on Morganton Road and Brocton Drive in Fayetteville, police said.
The woman turned left onto Morganton Road into the path of a westbound Toyota Camry at about 11:20 a.m., police said. The collision caused her Buick Century to roll over.
Emergency crews spent about 45 minutes extricating the woman from the overturned car, and she was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, police said.
Her identity hasn't been released.
The driver of the Camry, Astrid Speight, 33, wasn't injured.
No charges will be filed in the case, police said.
