RALEIGH, N.C. — State troopers were investigating a single-car crash that left a 23-year-old woman injured early Monday.

Troopers said Cleo Davis of Fuquay-Varina was driving south on U.S. Highway 401 in Raleigh, between Oak Court and Caddy Road, when she ran off the road at a high rate of speed, hit a ditch and flipped her vehicle. The car came to rest in front of Go Slow Tow & 401 Video. The impact of the crash was so hard that the car’s engine was dislodged.

Davis was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, troopers said.
