Woman critically injured in Chatham County wreck
A woman was injured Thursday evening in a wreck in Chatham County. It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on N.C. Highway 87, south of Pittsboro.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on N.C. Highway 87, south of Pittsboro.
Frances Smith's car went left of center and hit a truck head-on, the state Highway Patrol said.
Smith, 61, was critically injured and transported to a hospital for treatment.
The people inside the truck sustained minor injuries, troopers said.
