RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a woman on murder charges Thursday after a man who was shot on Grantland Drive Wednesday night died.

Investigators said that Kenneth Wayne Battle Jr., 23, was shot while standing outside in the 700 block of Grantland Drive, and a passerby drove him to WakeMed. Battle died of his injuries.

Police connected a "shots fired" call to 911 around 8:15 p.m. to Battle's death and charged Dana Danielle Hudson, 19, with murder.

Police detectives and State Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Hudson without incident at a Wake Forest apartment Thursday.

The case remains under investigation, police said.
