ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Monday arrested a woman linked to two armed robberies.

Alicia Inez Moles, 38, was wanted for crimes in Durham and Orange counties that occurred about 12 hours apart on Monday.

On 6 a.m. on Monday she asked a man for a ride at a gas station, during the trip Hillsborough police said she pulled a gun and told the driver to withdraw cash at the State Employee Credit Union.

She wasn’t done.

12 hours later, she resurfaced at the New Hope Commons Shopping center -- holding another victim at gunpoint and forcing them to drive her to an ATM at Bank of America in Chapel Hill.

According to Chapel Hill Police, a 911 caller reported an armed kidnapping and robbery.

Hillsborough police said warrants were issued charging Moles with second-degree kidnapping, armed robbery and assault by pointing a gun.

And shoppers are on guard.

“Be careful who you talk to. There is a lot of crazy people out here these days," said shopper Dustin Rogers. “I try to stay alert as much as possible. I’m always aware of my surroundings.”

In Hillsborough, Moles is also charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon.
