Severe weather is possible Saturday. And some local egg hunts are being postponed.

At least two egg hunts have been postponed because of the threat of severe weather on Saturday. Here's what I'm hearing.

  • Garner's Spring Eggstravaganza Festival at Lake Benson Park has been moved to Sunday.
  • The Community Egg Hunt at Chapel Hill's Homestead Community Park has been moved to Sunday.
  • Cary's egg hunt is postponed until Sunday afternoon. Hunts are at 1:30 p.m., 1:50 p.m. and 2:10 p.m.  for the respective age groups. See the website for details. (Thanks corrie for alerting us to this!)
  • Raleigh's egg hunts are still on and most will go on regardless of the weather. Find out which ones could be postponed by clicking here. Raleigh's Bark Around the Park also has been rescheduled to Sunday.
That's what I've heard. But there are many more planned for Saturday. Check our Easter Guide for more. I'd just call ahead or check the website to make sure it's still on before I head out.

Not an egg hunt, but also wanted to share that the Planet Earth Celebration at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh is on rain or shine.
