CARY, N.C. — A boutique wine shop and tasting bar is moving into downtown Cary.
Chatham Street Wine Market will be located at 111 W. Chatham St., in the old Gather coffee shop location. It is aiming to open in late October, owner Doug Gambardella said.
The store will feature wines from around the world, with a "focus on smaller production, family-owned wines that are also great values," Gambardella said. There will be weekly, free wine tastings and monthly food and wine events.
Gambardella, a New York native who has lived in Cary for more than two years, has nearly 10 years experience in the wine business.
"We’re thrilled to become a part of downtown Cary and its burgeoning food and drink scene," he said.
