A Wilson man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Tuesday night shooting death, police said.

<b>WILSON, N.C.</b> — A Wilson man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Tuesday night shooting death, police said.

Arthur Lee Parker, 58, of 530 Manchester St., was charged with first-degree murder and was being held without bond in the Wilson County jail.

Officers responding to a shooting call in the 500 block of Manchester Street at about 8:50 p.m. found Donnell Ray Williams, 55, suffering from a gunshot wound. Williams was taken to the Wilson Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said that Williams and Parker knew each other.
