Wilson County sheriff deputy dies after wasp sting
A Wilson County Sheriff deputy died after being stung by a wasp Friday morning, according to authorities.

“The Wilson Police Department lost a longtime friend and colleague today when Lieutenant Ray Tomlinson of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office passed away this morning,” the department said in a statement on its official Facebook page. “We offer our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers. We at the "PD" will miss him dearly. Please keep those who were close to him in your thoughts and prayers. He was a great man, an awesome law enforcement officer, and dear friend to us all.”
