Apex police arrest two linked to Raleigh shooting
After about an hour-long search that saw Apex residents asked to stay indoors Friday afternoon, police arrested two men wanted in connection to a shooting in Raleigh.
Posted — Updated"To be safe for the community, it was best that everybody shelter in place and not come through the area where we were," said Apex Police Department Capt. Ann Stephens. "Our first concern is always with the community's safety."
Both Amerson and Greene have criminal records. Amerson's most recent arrest came in May 2015 on charges of speeding, driving without a license and fleeing to elude arrest. Greene was charged in October 2015 with breaking and entering a vehicle and possession of cocaine.
