Where to Pop the Question?

Special thanks to Michael Perdue for today's blog topic. Michael is the Senate Page Coordinator at the General Assembly. One of his co-workers is looking for the perfect romantic place in NC to propose marriage.

Elizabeth Gardner had a great idea. If you like the mountains you could take your potential mate on a brief hike from Craggy Gardens near Asheville. The hike takes you to a panoramic view with a strong "wow" factor. You could pop the question there.

I would recommend the Appalachian Trail near Roan Mountain. That is a wide open majestic place. I would also recommend the sweet peace of Bald Head Island or Ocracoke. If it were spring time I would opt for a boat ride on the Roanoke River while listening to the chorus of neotropical songbirds.
