RALEIGH, N.C. — I enjoy fall. The temperatures are cooler, leaves are changing and food trucks are out. October brings some great events, here are a few on my food truck radar:
  • Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo – Oct. 8 from Noon to 6 p.m.– Food trucks take over downtown Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street from the state Capitol to City Plaza.
  • SAS Championship Food Truck Friday – Oct. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. – This event is part of an entire week of events at the SAS Championship at Cary’s Prestonwood Country Club.
  • Food & Funk Festival – Oct.15 from noon to 4 p.m. – RDUMFA returns to Carrboro Town Commons for a groovy festival featuring live funk music.
Classic fair foods and food trucks from around the Triangle offered a variety of eating options from fish to ice cream.
  • Trick or Eat – Oct. 22 from Noon to 5 p.m. – Downtown Garner’s annual Halloween-themed event is held on Historic Downtown Garner’s Main Street from Purvis to Griffin streets
  • Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo – Oct. 29 from 12 to 4 p.m. – Food trucks will gather in the Over the Falls Shopping Center (405 S Brooks St.)
Get to know the owners behind the trucks in our series, the Food Truck Diaries.
