Here are my weekly shopping totals for the week of 7/2 - 7/9. I saved 69% and bought lots of produce last week!
Total before sales and coupons: $225.71
Total amount saved: $157.93

Last week I shopped at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion (produce and veggie burgers), Walgreens (eggs and deodorant), CVS (milk, soda, granola bars and Stridex all free with gift card from cashing in credit card rewards) and the local farm stand (lots of produce!). Other than Harris Teeter, these stores are about 10 minutes from my house and I combined trips to cut down on gas and time wasted.
I was happy to see that I was $12 under budget this week because I was $15 over budget the week before. For the month, I am right on target with a budget of $80 per week for food and non-food essentials. This does not include the dog, guinea pig, turtle or hermit crab food and hay. I think the guinea pig costs around $800 a week........or maybe it just seems like that. :-)
How did you do on your shopping totals last week?
