Welcome to the second edition of The Weekend Wanderer here on the Carolina Conversations blog. We use this forum to offer up fresh entertainment ideas for the weekend ahead. I mention some of the things I plan to do and invite you to do likewise.
I’m really looking forward to dinner tonight at Fins Restaurant in Raleigh. I hear the Sea Bass is outstanding. Tomorrow I’ll sample some of the unique crafts at Lazy Daze in Cary. If you are looking for unique and quality gifts Lazy Daze is a goldmine.
My hiking recommendation for the weekend is the nearly six mile Company Mill Trail in William Umstead State Park off I-40 in Cary. Take the Reedy Creek Entrance.
If time allows I’d like to visit Silk Hope Winery in Chatham County. I was close to the winery last weekend when I visited Brown’s Chapel United Methodist Church for a luncheon.
