RALEIGH, N.C. — A look happening this weekend before Halloween. Of course, the N.C. State Fair wraps up this weekend. Now for more of our picks:

Spooky Fun

Reely Scary at Koka Booth - Scary movie enthusiasts and those that love all things spooky will want to check out Reel-ly Scary Cary at Koka Booth Amphitheatre this weekend. There will be some scary movies on the big screen and a Haunted House. Movies are Thursday through Saturday. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 years and older and include the movie and one visit through the Haunted House.
Zombie Walk - The undead will be walking through downtown Raleigh Saturday night during this free event. The zombies will assemble at the Moore Square Acorn at 7 p.m. The event is free and you can bring children and pets. Immediately following the walk, the undead will be heading to Tir na Nog for an after-party. The walk benefits the Triangle Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Day of the Dead 5K - The 3rd Annual Day of the Dead 5K is Saturday morning outside Centro in downtown Raleigh. You can run, walk and even take your stroller on the route. There will also be a costume contest. The family-friendly race benefits the Brentwood Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh.

Festivals

Durham Bulls Fall Fan Fest - Head to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for this event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Fans will be able to take batting practice and play catch on the field, and enter into a raffle to win a Trick-or-Treat outing with Wool E. Bull. Additionally, the Ballpark Corner Store will be having an end-of-season blowout sale. Entry to Fall Fan Fest is free, while with a donation of at least three canned food items fans will be placed into a raffle to win a Trick-or-Treat outing with Wool E. Bull, where the team’s mascot will accompany a family through its neighborhood on Halloween evening. All canned food items will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Dogwood Fall Fest - There will be three days of activities and fun at Festival Park in Fayetteville. Events run Thursday through Saturday and include Historic Hauntings, Haunted House, a Boo and Brew Beer Garden, a Food Truck Festival and 4th Friday Zombie Walk. Some events require tickets.

For the Foodies

Porkapalooza - Head to the Root Cellar in Chapel Hill Friday night for the 4th Annual Porkapalooza. This dinner features beer, wine and nine courses that celebrate local pork. Seats are $55 per person.
Garner Trick or Eat Rodeo - On Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., downtown Garner will host this fun event that includes food trucks and craft beer.
Ponysaurus grand opening - Help this local brewery celebrate the opening of its tap room in Durham on Saturday. There will be live music and food trucks. Admission is free. The fun runs 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On stage

Into the Woods - Venture into the woods with us and learn what happens to your favorite fairytale characters before and after the words “happily ever after.” NC Theatre's production of "Into the Woods" runs through Sunday at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Beauty and the Beast at DPAC - Disney's smash Broadway music hits DPAC this weekend. Shows are Friday through Sunday.
NC Symphony with Jeffrey and Gabriel Kahane - Father and son join forces to perform Ravel's Piano Concerto and musical selections from The Gershwin Songbook, plus Gabriel Kahane's Guide to the 48 States, created from the Federal Writers' Program guidebooks. The show is Saturday at Meymandi Concert Hall.
Mariza - International sensation Mariza returns to UNC Chapel Hill's Memorial Hall Friday night with her bewitching renditions of fado - the haunting torch songs of old Portugal rooted in folk poetry, Arabic cadences and African and Brazilian rhythms.
Dave Attell - Attell is known for a caustic wit and rapid-fire delivery that helped earn him the title as one of the Funniest People in America by Entertainment Weekly Magazine. See him at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh Thursday through Saturday.
