"The weather's going to be great for everything, except for building snowmen this weekend," Johnson said. "Lots of stuff going on outdoors this weekend. Dove season starts today, and folks wanting to catch baseball or football, weather's going to be great."

A cold front will keep the high temperatures in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, they'll creep back up to around 90s.

"The lows tonight – cooler than we've been in almost four months," Johnson said. Temperatures will fall into the mid 50s.

Meanwhile, the sun will keep pouring through a clear sky throughout Labor Day weekend.

Breezes between 10 and 15 mph, combined with the dry air and warmth, also means there's an increased chance of fire.

"Be careful if you're going to be doing any grilling outside this afternoon. Make sure you have a bucket or water ready just in case the fire gets away from you," Johnson said.

Overall, the weather will be great for outdoor activities this weekend.

"It's a fantastic weekend to have off," Johnson said. "We've got comfortable temperatures, comfortable humidity levels and no rain in the forecast."
