RALEIGH, N.C. — A cold front moving through central North Carolina brought rain to the area late Thursday.

A line of storms moving south across the state was expected to pass through the Triangle by early Friday.

The biggest threat from these storms are strong winds and hail, WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said. There were some reports of pea-sized hail in Henderson.

The rain will move through quickly. Friday will be mostly sunny, breezy and very warm with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and windy with isolated showers or storms possible. Sunday will be mostly sunny and very nice for Mother's Day.
