Expect a rainy, windy Christmas
The Triangle could see as much as an inch of rainfall in some areas Friday as a storm system moves across the state, bringing with it potentially gusty winds.

Thunderstorms were also possible southeast of the Triangle, WRAL Meteorologist Mike Moss said.
Elsewhere in North Carolina, a few mountain counties woke up to an icy glaze, but officials said much of the region missed any major problems with freezing rain.
Several counties, especially in the northern mountains, reported a quarter-inch of ice as a result of the heavy rains and freezing temperatures.
Transportation officials reported icy patches, especially off the main roads, but no major travel problems were reported.
Gusty winds combined with the rain and ice to knock down some trees and branches. About 20,000 mountain customers of Progress Energy and Duke Energy were without power Christmas morning.
Heavy rains of up to 2 inches an hour also caused flooding of some roads in Henderson County, about 90 miles west of Charlotte.
Back in the Triangle, forecasters expected Friday's high temperatures to reach into the mid-50s. Friday evening will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the low 30s.
Saturday will be a little cooler with highs in the lower 50s and lows in the upper 20s. Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 50s.
