Just hang on: Warm weather is on the way
It may not seem like spring to many who woke up to snow across central North Carolina Wednesday, but by the end of the week, temperatures will top out close to 70 degrees.

The snow pushed quickly out of the WRAL viewing area, leaving behind mostly sunny skies, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.
The Triangle will have a clear and cold night, with lows in the mid-teens. The wind chill Thursday will make early risers feel temperatures akin to single digits. High pressure will linger over the area through the day, keeping temperatures low, but the sun will shine brightly.
"A drastic warm-up begins on Friday," WRAL meteorologist Greg Fishel said.
Highs on Friday are forecast to soar into the mid-50s, a 20-degree swing from the day before. Saturday and Sunday will be progressively warmer. Sunday's forecast high is 70 degrees.
The work week will begin on a spring-like note as well. Monday and Tuesday will see some clouds, but the mild weather remains. The nights are forecast to only dip into the 40s, and daytime highs should be in the 60s.
