Another record fell Tuesday as the heat wave sent the mercury above 90 again.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Another record fell Tuesday as the heat wave sent the mercury above 90 again.The temperature at Raleigh-Durham International Airport reached a high of 94 degrees Monday, 20 degrees above the normal of 73 degrees for this time of the year, and 6 degrees higher than the previous high for the date -- 88 -- set in 1990.Normal fall weather is expected to return to the area Thursday with the passage of cold front. Highs will dip to near 70, with overnight lows in the lower 40s and upper 30s Thursday through Sunday.
