Thunderstorms move through Triangle
Thunderstorms moved through the Triangle Friday night, delaying and postponing some high school football games, but there does not appear to be a threat for severe weather, WRAL meteorologist Greg Fishel said.
Posted — UpdatedA thunderstorms warning was issued until 7 p.m. for parts of Chatham County, where there were reports of hail.
There were no reports of storm-related problems elsewhere.
Rain and thunderstorms are on tap for the rest of the weekend and beginning of next week. The timing and location of a frontal boundary moving toward the area will determine how much rain might fall.
Weekend highs are forecast to be in the mid-70s. It will get warmer by mid-week, before cooling down for what's looking to be a nice end of next week's work week.
