Just wondering if you have a map showing rainfall totals? I'm in youngsville...on the west side of rt 1.
Posted — UpdatedMIKE MOSS SAYS: Curt, The only map we have handy on the site with observed rain totals is a "24-hour Rainfall" map available through our main weather page (link is in the "Weather Data" section, or the direct address is
http://www.wral.com/weather/image/1968227/ (Note that the map appears blank if no rain has been observed in 24 hours)
You can go back to any date and get a contour map showing rainfall across North Carolina, with a county overlay available, at
http://water.weather.gov/ Just click on our state to get a closer view, and then explore the various options available for precipitation displays.
There are also some good archived maps, with color-coded rainfall amounts, at the CoCoRaHS site for North Carolina - see
http://www.cocorahs.org/state.aspx?state=nc Again, do some exploring as there are a number of options for how to view data on the site.
