What happened to the RDU weather data that tracked rainfall since Jan. 1, rainfall to start of month etc? Somewhere else on the website, or if removed where can I find it?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:      Andrew,    You're probably thinking of the daily climate report from the National Weather Service in Raleigh, which included a statment of rain so far for the year. This information became rather redundant with a table of information available for the airport that we have available through our "Almanac" page. Just go there and you will see a date selector where you can view the report for any date.

In addition, it is worth noting that the calendar year to date values of rainfall versus normal have to be interpreted carefully, because they tend to build up through the year and then drop to zero on January first. For this reason, it can be more instructive to look at sliding periods of time such as 30 days, 90 days and one full year. Our web graphics folks have begin generating images that show those trends for RDU, and you can also access those those through the Almanac page. Just click on "RDU Rainfall Graphs." I've included an example with this answer. The web staff has also implemented similar graphs showing local area lake levels versus normal over one, three and six-month time spans.
