MIKE MOSS SAYS: Hillary, There is a well-known annual meteor shower coming up next weekend (peaking the night of 12-13 August) called the Perseids. You can read more about it in the new "Carolina Skies" section of our web site, where one of our colleagues from Morehead Planetarium and Science Center recently posted a blog entry about the event. Also, we will be discussing the shower during the monthly on-air Carolina Skies segment in the 7:30 - 8 am portion of our Saturday Morning News on August 11th, with Jesse Richuso from MPSC as our studio guest.
