Wake Co. was under a warning re' conditions for brush fires recently. What is the minimum relative humidity and the corresponding wind speed (minimum?)needed to eliminate the need for fire warnings?

MIKE MOSS SAYS: Dee, The bare bones answer to that is a relative humidity greater than 25% and sustained winds less than 20 mph, when referring to a "Red Flag" warning for fire danger. For a little more background, see our recent blog entry on the subject at
