I am a den leader for my cub scout pack in Hope Mills. We are working on a lesson about weather. Can you tell me some symbols used on the map and what they mean? Thank you.

MIKE MOSS SAYS: Nichola, there are lots of symbols you can consider for various intensities of differing precipitation types, fog, thunderstorms, frontal boundaries, troughs and ridges, and so on. Probably the best thing for me to do is point you to some collections of weather symbols that you can use as a reference. Here are some addresses you might like to look over:
