Can you tell me the soil and air temps for Dec 2006 and Jan 2007? I can't find any station that continuously checks the soil temp.

MIKE MOSS SAYS:       Jessica,    The NC State Climate Office has a network called EcoNet that keeps hourly records of both air and soil temperatures across the state, and you can access those records at their web site. Just go to their address and poke around a bit, and you should be able to turn up just what you're looking for. Note that the EcoNet sites are the ones with green dots on the map, and that in order to get data for the site, you first click the "information" button above the map and then click on the dot. Also, you can de-clutter the map a bit by un-checking the ASOS and AWOS selections along the left side of the page and clicking "re-draw map" to see only the EcoNet sites (the others have air temperature records but not soil temps). here's the address:
