Moon, Jupiter, Venus 'dance' across early-morning sky
With all the clouds at night and in the early morning over the past few days, the Triangle has been missing out on some interesting sky shows in the pre-dawn hours.

RALEIGH, N.C. — With all the clouds at night and in the early morning over the past few days, the Triangle has been missing out on some interesting sky shows in the pre-dawn hours.
Starting Friday night into Saturday morning, the moon, Jupiter and Venus will be in a dance in the eastern sky a couple of hours prior to sunrise. The show really gets interesting Sunday morning as the crescent moon will "occult," or cover over, the planet of Jupiter for up to an hour.
Unfortunately, this event won't be visible in the United States.
Regardless, the heavenly dance among our waning crescent moon, Jupiter and Venur will be a sight to behold as long as two things happen – we have clear skies right before dawn and you have the ability to drag yourself from a comfortable bed at 4 a.m.
