I need to find the daily rainfall amounts for November 2006. Can you tell me where to find this? Betty Murphrey

MIKE MOSS SAYS:    Betty,   I can point you to a couple of good resources for this. First, the National Weather Service in Raleigh has a handy climate observations database page where you can find daily reports from the Raleigh-Durham, the Greensboro airport or the Fayetteville airport. A fairly compact and simple way to find the daily rainfall is to select the radio buttons for "Preliminary Climatological Data (CF6)" and "Archive," select the month you want and then click "GO" at the following address:

Another good resource is the web site called "Weather Underground" where you'll find RDU observations for November at the following address:

http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KRDU/2006/11/1/MonthlyHistory.html

A nice feature of that site is that you can use the search form at the top of the page to obtain a similar set of data for almost any location in the country that has an official weather observing site.
