Ok I feel like burying my head in the sand! I woke up this morning and looked at the radar on my computer and noticed our forecast was hosed. I honestly wanted to call in sick.
The axis of deep moisture shifted eastward towards the coast this morning and some subsidence or sinking air aloft came in behind it upon our part of the state. The result was fewer showers here, more sunshine and warmer afternoon temperatures.
For the next couple of days we are going to heat up tremendously. A west to northwest flow aloft will produce highs on Thursday in the low-mid 90s and on Friday in the mid to perhaps upper 90s. Thursday there may be a few isolated afternoon and evening storms. Friday we have a cold front moving into the area late in the evening. Ahead of it during the early evening we could see a few storms.
