FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man died in a weather-related accident on Fayetteville's Pamalee Drive Thursday afternoon.

A black Monte Carlo and Jeep were involved in the wreck at 1769 Pamalee Drive, between Murchison and Cain roads, shortly after 5 p.m., police said.

The driver of the Monte Carlo was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

The Jeep driver was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was listed in stable condition Friday.

Police said that wet road conditions were a factor in the wreck.

Heavy traffic was backed up along Pamalee for more than an hour.
