Weather balloon falls on Angier yard
A National Weather Service balloon fell onto the yard of a Ridge Road home, southeast of Angier, Thursday morning, said Johnston County emergency dispatch officials.
Posted — UpdatedANGIER, N.C. — A National Weather Service balloon fell onto the yard of a Ridge Road home, southeast of Angier, Thursday morning, Johnston County emergency dispatch officials said.
Tammy Ellis, who lives at the house, said the orange balloon resembled a parachute. A note on the end of a string asked anyone who found the balloon to call the local fire department, she said.
Officials said that no one was injured.
