HENDERSON — Water systems that depend on Kerr Lake are close to mandatory water restrictions.
People in Henderson, Oxford and Warren counties would be affected.
The Army Corps of Engineers said 290 feet is the critical water level for Kerr Lake.
The lake could reach that level by the second week of October if the state does not get more rain. Saturday morning, the lake was at 294 feet, which is 6 feet below normal.
