Warren County man killed during fight at wake

A Manson man was killed during a fight with a family member that broke out while the two were attending a wake Friday night for another relative, authorities said.

MANSON, N.C. — A Manson man was killed during a fight with a family member that broke out while the two were attending a wake Friday night for another relative, authorities said.

Warren County Sheriff’s deputies responding to a call about 9:30 p.m. at 297 Kimball Point Road. found Corey Jamal Robinson, of 319 Kimball Point Road, dead from injuries suffered during an argument with Harold Lastly Plummer.

Authorities haven't said how Robinson died, but the sheriff said Tuesday he was either cut or stabbed. The two men were at a wake for Robinson's great aunt when the altercation occurred, authorities said.

Plummer, 58, of 289 Kimball Point Road, faces second-degree murder charges and was in the Warren County jail Tuesday morning.
