RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Timberlake man in connection with a bogus business consulting and lobbying firm, warrants state.

Douglas Jordan, 43, of 5908 Oxford Road, faces charges of obtaining property by false pretenses. Warrants allege he charged a customer $7,500 in November for consulting work he never did.

Jordan allegedly pretended to be the CEO of a multi-billion dollar firm.

Warrants state that Jordan is not a registered agent or consultant, and the business address he provided his client was actually the address to his mother's home.
