RALEIGH, N.C. — Temperatures will reach the 80s on Monday and stay warm all week, but the Triangle could see storms and rain by Wednesday.

Rain is unlikely Monday, but that won't last long.

"You can leave your raincoats at home today, but rain is in the forecast for later in the week," said meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner.

Like Monday, Tuesday will be warm and mostly dry with only a small chance of scattered storms in the afternoon.

By Wednesday, the chance for precipitation and related storms climbs to 30 percent.

Despite the chance of severe weather, temperatures will stay high, in the mid-80s, throughout the week. "The 80s are back," said Gardner, "and it will feel very humid."

The rain is expected to clear up in time for the weekend, and the humidity will decrease along with it.
