Wanted sex offender captured by Raleigh police

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police captured a wanted sex offender early Tuesday. Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies searched a wooded area near Poole Road in Raleigh for Daniel Tabron, 22, for most of the day Monday but suspended the search before 6 p.m.

Tabron was wanted by the North Carolina Violent Fugitive Task Force for violating the terms of his probation and failing to register as a sex offender.

According to Department of Correction records, he was convicted in July 2009 of indecent liberties with a child.
