WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Wake Forest police announced an arrest Tuesday night in the stabbing death of Edgar Hardison, 21, on Nov. 22.

Hardison was found in a business plaza at 10501 Ligon Mill Road. Police did not offer a motive or comment on the connection between him and Jonte Tyvon Wall, 19, whom they charged with first-degree murder.

Gerard Doughty, who knew Hardison from a basketball ministry at Celebration Church on Capital Boulevard, described him as "a good kid."

"I could tell he had an inner glow inside of him. He was a really good person. He always cared about other people," Doughty said.

Doughty said he last saw Hardison three weeks ago at a community outreach event, and Hardison was talking about enrolling at Wake Technical Community College.
