<b>APEX, N.C.</b> — An Athens Drive High School teacher was arrested Wednesday for inappropriate contact with a former student in Henderson.

Devon Ross Lategan, 29, of 129 Warm Wood Lane in Apex, is charged with one count of sexual acts with a student. An arrest warrant said Lategan had sex with the student in June.

Lategan was being held in the Wake County jail under $50,000 bond Wednesday night but has since been released.
