<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Wake County Human Services has decided to stop providing free caskets to families who can’t afford them, according to Public Affairs Manager Wil Glenn.

County leaders said budget problems forced them to stop providing the pine boxes, which cost about $360 each.

According to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, deputies used "all less-than-lethal options" available and captured three of the four dogs. After deputies tried to capture the fourth dog on multiple occasions, a deputy shot and killed the dog.
