Virginia man faces child-sex charges in Wake

Raleigh police have charged a Virginia man with sexually abusing a Wake County teenager.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have charged a Virginia man with sexually abusing a Wake County teenager. 

Darryl Lamont Carter, 37, of Chesapeake, Va., faces two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of soliciting a child by computer.

Arrests warrants state that Carter committed "a lewd and lascivious act" on a 14-year-old. He also contacted a person who he believed to be less than 16 years old and tried to get that person to meet him "with the intent to commit an unlawful sex act", the warrants state.
